The health vertical of Livolink Foundation is targeted towards reducing the incidence of malaria and deaths caused by the disease in some of the most inaccessible villages of South Odisha. These villages are highly endemic to malaria and have an Annual Parasite Incidence (API) >10. The villages are tribal dominated and remain cut off during rainy season. They are even deprived of the basic health care services and entitlements.

The intervention is spread over 5 blocks of Muniguda, Bissam Cuttack, TH Rampur, Lanjigarh and Kotagarh in the most malaria endemic districts of Rayagada, Kalahandi and Kandhamal.

Till date, there have been 1100 Mass screening Camps in more than 200 villages wherein 1.63 lakh individuals screened for malaria. While more than 18,000 individuals tested positive for malaria, all have been treated successfully and over the past few year zero malaria deaths have been reported in the intervention villages.
