Implementation strategy

The implementation of the project is done by Livolink Foundation an associate of TATA TRUSTS with support from TATA TRUSTS in Mumbai and its Regional Office at Odisha. The steering committee at the state and district level is formed to provide support in speedy and effective implementation of the program. The partners working for the comprehensive health initiatives in Odisha will also be a part of the implementation of the malaria initiative.

Tata Trusts provides support in liaisioning with government and building partnerships with different stakeholders onto a common platform to achieve the common goal of eliminating malaria in Odisha. Trusts also supports in integrating technology as a process to combat malaria, undertake and promote research and ensure monitoring and evaluation. Regional Odisha Office in Bhubaneswar is responsible for on ground implementation of activities and is one of the most critical units in ensuring success of the initiative. The major role of the State Headquarter is to ensure direct interface with state Government and in having convergence with various departments and leveraging resources.

Livolink Foundation acts as central agency for overall implementation of the programme in coordination with the Trusts and Government of Odisha.

The malaria program is supported by3 existing health partners of South Odisha Initiative working in 3 blocks of 2 districts(Kalahandi and Rayagada) namely DAPTA, FARR and Swasthya Swaraj. They work in coordination with Livolink Foundation to ensure the effective implementation of the project.

There is also involvement of national / international organisations working in public health, to undertake research, document learnings of the programme and support in disseminating them at national and international forums. At present NIRTH, Jabalpur is providing technical support in conducting baseline survey and in conducting studies on HRP2 and G6PD.
